The mission of AM/FM International is to provide excellence in education and information exchange on the use and benefits of spatial information technologies for communication, infrastructure and utility applications worldwide.

AM/FM International is the only non-profit educational association in the world that focuses on applying Automated Mapping and Facilities Management (AM/FM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and related information technology applications for utilities, government agencies and other organizations concerned with land records and facilities management. As such, it is an invaluable resource for professionals in many fields who are, with increasing frequency, turning to computer-based information technology to help meet local, regional, state, national and global data analysis needs.

AM/FM International provides a forum to educators, experts and novices for discussing processes, problems and solutions to accessing and managing mapping and facilities database information. Members become an integral part of an expanding network involving all levels and facets of the AM/FM/GIS and SCADA industries.
