AM/FM INTERNATIONAL

AM/FM International membership includes professionals involved in the advancement of technologies and techniques in automated mapping/facilities management (AM/FM), geographic information systems (GIS), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA). Membership consists of individuals and organizations in gas and electric utilities, telecommunications, public works, water works, transportation, cable TV, planning, tax assessment, emergency services, public safety, oil and gas pipelines, state and local government, financial organizations, real estate, law, and colleges and universities. In addition, hardware and software vendors, consultants and service companies are part of the association.

Within the membership, every level of experience and knowledge is represented, from the novice to the master. The members are engaged in such diverse activities as facilities engineering, communications, planning, mapping, public works, water management, transportation, tax assessment and other fields that involve investigating or implementing automated mapping, facilities management and geographic information system technology. The mix of individuals and corporations facilitates information exchange through conferences, seminars, publications, local chapters and international meetings.
