AM/FM INTERNATIONAL

The association's headquarters are based in Aurora, Colorado. The headquarters office oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization and manages all national events and initiatives. AM/FM International is truly an international organization with several North American regional chapters and international divisions who sponsor local conferences and seminars and work to provide a forum for technology information exchange in the areas and regions they represent.

Divisions

There are currently four divisions of the association: North America, Europe, Asia and Australia/New Zealand. In addition to the North American Division, the European Division (est. 1984) and the Asia Division (est. 1990) hold highly successful conferences and sponsor numerous additional educational activities each year. With prospects of additional expansion on the horizon, an International Advisory Council (IAC) was established in 1990 to provide a common point of contact, cooperation and liaison among the various international divisions of the association.

Chapters

Chapters have been established to further the objectives of the association in a specific regional area. Chapters are established by the Board after written petition from the members in the area. Chapter membership consists of all AM/FM International's members within the Chapter's boundaries. The association currently has eleven Chapters in the US and Canada and is actively pursuing additional chapters in specific areas. The current Chapters meet regularly and hold a variety of activities to service their members.

Anyone who is a member of AM/FM International is automatically a member of the chapter in their area. Local chapters have been instrumental in sponsoring education sessions and meetings which attract interested persons from specific geographical areas who otherwise might not be able to participate in the activities of the association. These chapters hold periodic meetings throughout the year and enable the participants to exchange information and engage in educational programs on a local level.
